Have you ever had a beloved pet cremated when you lost them?

Back in 2003, I lost my German Shepherd, Takoda. That dog was my heart, and I was devastated.
Although it really was beyond my financial capability, I splurged and had him cremated, and he was returned to me in a paw print covered cannister with a poem folded inside. It is the only pet I ever cremated, due to cost... I sure miss that dog. I think about him often.

Yes we cremated both our cat, Orion, and our dog, Lucas that we lost this year a couple of months apart from each other. It was going to be $75 for regular euthanizing or $140 for the cremation and have them returned to you so for less than an additional $100 I could get them back which I opted for. They came back in a nice box with a death certificate. It just seemed wrong to let their ashes be thrown into a garbage can after all of the years they loved and were around for us and I just couldn't bring myself to let them go to some unknown place at the dump.
