It seems no matter who you talk to, this has definitely been an "odd" winter, to say the least...
We were in the near 60's yesterday, with sunshine and a nice breeze...

BAM! Overnight we dropped down, and it is FRIGID cold out today! It's in the 30's, overcast, and just so cold... I feel awful for my husband (he works outside in the elements for ten hours a day).

How are your pets reacting to the colder weather? Owners of short haired dogs - how are they doing?
My GSD's are fine with the cold, it gets them riled up... But my Pits want nothing to do with the outside! Who can blame them?!

I live in Arizona...it's been a normal winter for us for the most part. But really the coldest it gets during the day is the mid 40's and so far our nights haven't been any colder than the mid 20's, and usually more like the low to mid 30's, so dogs don't really have any issues.

This winter has been insane. No wonder everyone I know is getting sick with such temp. changes! It doesn't seem to be bothering Reggie too much. He's inside most of the time anyway so it doesn't make a difference to him.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my wonderful siggy!

Both of my dogs will play outside but not for long cuz of the cold. Casper has never liked the cold. When Smokie was here, he loved the cold and would not come in, we had to pick him up and bring him in.

However Fluff is not like that and hes long haired like smokie was. Fluff does whatever Casper does. He eats when Casper eats, sleeps when Casper sleeps, plays where Casper plays,

Thank you *Kiliki* for my gorgeous siggie!

My lab (Dakota) doesn't mind the cold. She'll play outside in the snow for a few hours, but when she's ready to come back in, she'll sit by the door and wait for me to let her in..

Whenever we go out to the back field.. She has the biggest grin on her face.. She's such a happy labbie and she loves to run in the snow, even if it's -10 degrees outside.. lol

Bailey, my GSD (with my dad at the moment) doesnt really care one way or another about the weather. I think she likes the winter better than summber though, in her older age she doesnt do well with the heat much anymore.

Buddy, our little mutt (he's under 20lbs so we can have him in our apt.) He's wire haired, but doesnt really have any undercoating, so in the winter time he's out long enough to do is stuff and then right back in. He is not a cold weather dog, he'll curl up under his blankets, and then look at you like, "you're nuts, i aint commin' out"
