my name is rachael, 24, engaged to df brent, 26 and have a beautiful 19 monthold daughter mackenzee with one on the way due again in june. we were pet owners, but recently our golden lab jack died of extreme parvo and i believe he had cancer. luckily before jack passed he mated with my brother's chocolate lab and she had puppies and we will soon be parents to chocolate female bonnie, and golden male clyde. we do plan on spending more time with these puppies, as when we got jack he was already 5 years old. we are planning on training them for retreival and all, and were just wondering if there were any books/toys/products that you used and recommend? thanks for your help in advance and hope to get to know you ladies better!

Hi Rachael, welcome.

If you are looking to train your dogs for retrieval, I would recommend picking up a few bumpers - these can be found at either Petco or PetsMart, usually in with the training collars, prong collars, and so forth.

I, myself, do not know of any books that would be of help, but there is plenty of information on the internet if you search... Here is a link to get you started... How To Train A Hunting Dog
