Also posted on the supplementing board.

I'm having a problem getting my seven month old daughter to take a bottle during the day. I have had to supplement her from almost two months of age with a bottle at night time. She use to also have the odd one during the day as well, but hasn't for a few months.

She has absolutely no problems taking her bottle at night time. She does great, but normally its not enough (10oz!) so I end up having to breastfeed her a little bit too.
I would like her to take a bottle during the day as well, but she just won't take it. She will scream until she passes out without eating rather than take a bottle. I'm not sure what to do.

How did you get your little ones to take bottles? She has never had issues taking them in the past, its just all of a sudden she won't take them.

Thanks for any advice!

My first guess would be she might be getting a tooth, if she has taken them just fine before.

Kaylin is teething and when she is sore from teething she will NOT take a bottle. It hurts too much.

When she refuses the bottle, will she nurse?

Yup, she nurses just fine.

I've been reading a lot and I'm going to look into feeding her her formula with a sippy cup. At least its a possibility.
