Would you enter your child in a baby/toddler/child pagent?

closest I'd come would be a light hearted photo contest - with natural, rather than posed photos

I used to be very much against them until I met a girl about age 10 who participated. They were a very positive experience for her. She was extreamly shy and had a pretty low self esteem. The pagents really helped her self confidence.

1 thing about pagents is they aren't all like what you see on TV, most of those I think are nuts. A lot of times the biggest problem there is actually the stage parents.

There are many pagents that are just fun little contests where kids get to dress up pretty and showcase some talent. They aren't a lot different from a kid participating in soccer or swim team on the weekend. Just regular people having a good time. They never televise these shows.

I don't think so. I think they're sort of crazy and Ellie is super shy so unless she grows out of it I don't imagine she'll be interested in being on stage.
Thank you very much Meganpixel for my fabulous siggie!
