I used tap water. I personally let the water run until it was really hot. I didn't boil the water at all.

I did this with my 1st and 2nd when I switched to formula. I didn't even know you were supposed to boil the water if they are under 6 months. I guess it isn't a big deal or my ped. would have mentioned it!

I am boiling this time though. Don't know why, I guess I am just being extra safe and careful. I boil filtered water and will probably she is 6 months old.

I use filtered water.

For those using bottled water, you should make sure it still has flouride in it. A lot of bottled water has all the floride filtered out of it, but it's important for that to still be in there for the baby. My ped told me that.

Thanks ladies.. I was using boiled tap water at first but I didnt like the taste of the water so I switched to bottled water, and I was boiling it at first too. But lately I have just been warming it up and occasionally boiling it. But I thought to myself I probably dont have to be boiling it .. Just wanted to make sure it was okay! thanks[/b]
If you are using just regular bottled water it may not have flouride in it. They sell nursery water that has flouride added to it or if you use boiled tap water that will have flouride as well.

We used nursery water because the tap water in our area is so bad that I don't even give it to my dog and cat! It actually has a yellow tint to it! YUCK!!
