im trying to figure out how much formula and how often to feed my 2 week old...

im transitioning from breast milk and he is currently eating 3oz every 2 hours some times 3 at night...

as i switch to all formula should i keep the same schedule?

i know all babies are different i just want a general idea of what others feed their 2 week olds!

Jackson was about 2 weeks old when we switched to formula and he would eat about 4oz every 4 hours. You can just try to give him the same amount, and he may go longer than 2 or 3 hours. Just take cues from him. Jackson ate much more often on breast milk, so his schedule totally changed once we switched.

since breastmilk is easier to digest breastfed babies tend to eat more often than formula fed so you may notice that he will go a bit longer on the formula. I agree with the pp, pay attention to his cues. Give him as much as he wants until he seems full and then wait till he seems hungry again to feed him again. His schedule will probably be different but it may also be completely all over the place for a few months. Cohen didnt really develop an eating schedule till about 3-4 months.

I switched my baby at about 3 1/2 weeks and she was eating about 3-4 oz every 3 hrs. She is now 2 months old and still eating only 4oz every 3 hrs.
