___ Small and sticky foods pose possible choking hazards: peanuts, popcorn, peanut butter, candy, grapes, raw carrots, and marshmallows.

___ Nuts can cause a severe allergic reaction.

___ Honey may cause botulism in babies under 1.

___ Caffeinated products can make baby jittery and interfere with the absorption of calcium.

___ Undiluted fruit juices can be too acidic for babies. Wait until baby is at least 6 months old, and then dilute juices with water.
