These general guidelines will help you plan meals during this stage. Every baby is different and your little one will let you know how much she needs to eat. She'll also eat different amounts on different days. Print out this guide and post it on your refrigerator for reference.

Feeding Guidelines (approximate amounts per day)

Breast milk or formula (24-32 oz. in 5-6 feedings fed with meals or in-between)

Stages 1 & 2 or Beech-Nut First Advantage:

Cereal (8-10 Tbsp. or 1 oz.*)

Fruit (˝-1 jar or 2-4 oz.)

Vegetable (˝-1 jar or 2-4 oz.)

Meat (˝ -jar or 1-1 ˝ oz.)

Dinner (˝-1 jar or 2-4 oz.)

Dessert (˝ -jar or 2 oz.)

Juice (˝-1 jar or 2-4 oz.) – optional


Sample Menu

˝ cup prepared Cereal
Fruit (2 oz.)

Mid day
Meat (1-1˝ oz.)
Vegetable (2-4 oz.)
Fruit (2 oz.)

1 serving Fruit or Juice (4 oz.) – optional

1 jar dinner (4 oz.)
Fruit (2 oz.)

yay thats so helpful thanks so much for posting these! goodness my little boy eats nowhere near all that food though lol. Thats ok, like the article said, all babies are different.
