What's your favourite part of the newborn stage?

I visited my friend yesterday with her 2.5 week old, and he just curled up in my arms and didn't move. He was so snuggly

Ohhh how I love that snuggly stage. I miss how I could lay on the sofa with Audrina on my chest or on my lap and how she'd just peacefully snuggle and sleep.

I love their smell.. and the tiny clothes...and being able to carry them around in the car seat carrier...lol
Thank-you Bokkechick for the beautiful siggy!

I love looking into newborn eyes while snuggling their soft, sweet smelling squishy bodies!

I also love that they are immobile, and their needs are so basic!
Urchin likes this.
Thank you claire1979 for my cute new siggy!

I love the snuggly little ones and I really miss how I would lay him on my chest and he would snuggle and fall right to sleep!

I love how tiny they are, how cute all their little clothes are, how soft their hair is, their little noises.

Thank you Vicki for my new siggy!

Well I only remember my last ds and at that age he was on my boob all day and all night too, but I do miss the closeness that we had while I nursed him. He was the only one I did!

I also miss how tiny he was.

I miss my babies weight when she was a weeks old. She was so fragile and super love it when she looks at me with her innocent eyes.

Haha ooooh my...the ol' newborn stage. Pax ate 24.7, not stop, for two solid weeks. I had to wean him because I was delirious from exhaustion (and he was so hungry!) - he was so teeny when he was born, I think he really wanted to make up for lost time to get to the 99% where he is now LOL!
So, the first two weeks were great, but exhausting and painful from the C Section, then the next two weeks baby blues hit me so, so hard and I knew there was something wrong with him but no one would listen to me. At the end of the 4th week I insisted to the doctor that he had reflux based on his symptoms and I swear, they said, "oh! yeah, he probably does!" OMG. So, around 5 weeks is when my little boy started sleeping more than 20 minutes a day and was keeping his food down, and staying fuller Oh, and I discovered a sleep sack WITH VELCRO for the amazing escape artist he is - that helped so much, too. Now that I know all this, I can't wait to really experience the NB stage again

I love how mobile they are and the wonderful feeling of not being pregnant anymore, hahaha!

But really, the newborn stage is my least favorite! I much prefer it when they are 6-12months

There are so many of my friends and family who complained about how hard it was in the newborn stage (which it is sometimes!), but I LOVE that stage in their lives. I think its innocence in the most pure form. So sweet and snuggly!
