Karrigan has the retrovirus.

She has been sick for almost 2 weeks now. It started with diarea and vomiting, then progressed to that plus a fever.

I brought her in to the doctors yesterday and they sent us to the hospital for some lab work. They called me tonight to confirm she has retrovirus. I have to keep her isolated for at least 48 hours after her last bought of vomiting or diarea, so it could be a while. She's already dropped 6lbs not good since she isn't that big to start with. If she doesn't stop within a day or so the doctor is talking about admiting her to the hospital again.

To top it off I started the same thing 2 days ago, or something similer, and have also dropped over 4lbs in just 2 days

I hate being sick, but I hate her being sick even more. Now we're just hoping Kayla and DH don't get it too.

I am sorry you are both sick again. I know it is really tough. We got the vomiting flu in our house twice last year & both times we ALL got it. It was dreadful having us all running to the bathroom day & night and no one well enough to help each other out much. I hope you are both feeling better soon & that Dh & DD#1 don't get ill. (((hugs))))

I so hate the vomiting bugs, its horrible.
The only plus side to you being sick is your body will produce specific antibodies which will be passed through to Karrigan in the breast milk. Be sure you take lots and lots of fluids even if you are not thirsty because you have not only your bodies own demands to sope with now, but she will be taking more fluid as well.
Hope you are on the mend soon.

Oh!!! Poor baby and Momma. I'm sending thoughts and prayers that she does not have to be hospitalized! I hope you guys are on the mend soon, and that dh and Kayla don't get sick. Are you taking probiotics?
