I hope you bear with me I'm full of questions.

For an older infant to toddler which one of these two carriers do you prefer or work best?

I never used a Moby, but do have a mei tai. I loved my mei tai when Kate was an infant, and she was comforable snuggled close and towards me. She got to be about 5 or 6 months and only wanted to face outwards which I couldn't get with the mei tai... now as she's a year, she's getting more comfotable in the back carry with my mei tai, and I'm enjoying that.

It's hard for me to pick. I have both, I just recently bought my Mei Tai though. I love that she can face out in the wrap, but it takes much longer to put on. I love how easy it is to put the Mei Tai on though, and I discovered yesterday that if I curl her legs up in it, instead of putting them out the side, she can see out the sides, which makes her just as happy.

i ditched my wrap when maica hit a year, she was too heavy to front carry (though shes not a heavy child!) and its too hard to put her on the back.
i have a homemade meitai and its fab, i side or back carry her and its brilliant.

Beautiful Siggy by Claire!

I'd recommend a Mei Tai for an older baby. Moby's are great, but with a heavier baby you will have to adjust/retie due to the stretchiness of the fabric.
