At 7:10 this morning I was listening to the news while I made my coffee and was getting ready to run out the door to work. And can you guess what I heard coming from the TV????

A commecial promoting BF! DH even stopped and listened! This was on the morning news, local Fox channel, in Dallas/Ft. Worth! We are it in the top 10 biggest mextroplex markets! It was pretty darn exciting.

Than on my way to work I listen to a talk radio station that is actually now a sports talk radio station b/c it flipped formates about 6 months ago. But I still like the morning show so I listen. Anyways they were talking about the new baby doll that a Spanish company is making that is a doll for children that breast feeds. The child put on a vest that has a flower where the nipple should be and the baby draws to it and makes suckeling noices!

On this sports talk radio station that targets men ages 18-35 every caller they took was like..."that doll is no big deal my kids pretend to BF their dolls anyways b/c they see there mom do it with the younger kids". And these were all MEN calling in

I was just so impressed to see such positive promotion of BF in the media! What a nice change!

That's very cool! I was so excited to see a pro-BF commercial the other day and then I realized it was just for Medela products. It was still cool to see, though.

I'm wondering if that radio show is a national show??
We were driving home from Ohio and DH was listening to a show talking about children and BFing dolls. Didn't get to far into the subject.
Anyway, that's great with all the pro BFing commericals and such.
Thank you Jaidynsmum!

It is nice when you hear something positive.

I remember a while back I was listening to Bob & Tom in the morning & they had Caroline Ray on and she was talking about her new baby. She was laughing about nursing her daughter while she was kissing her daughter's toes...and saying that is like the ultimate "69" for new moms. It was very funny - but also very sweet. She was talking about how great it is to nurse her & kiss her & just enjoy being a new mom.

I love seeing things like this! I try to NIP as much as possible (or whenever needed, I won't go out of my way to hide). Unfortunately DH is very conservative and likes to park in far off corners of a parking lot to let me nurse. Lol, men..
