I hope it's okay if I "brag" about Isabel but we struggled through SO much due to her prematurity that these LITTLE things make me SO proud! And SURPRISED!

Isabel CRAWLED for the first time today. It was "inchworm style" but VERY intentional, even if it did take her 5 minutes to move 1 foot. She's been sitting unassisted for a few weeks now. I think she is catching up to her "real" age, which is amazing because she was in the nicu for 6 weeks doing NOTHING then came home and just layed around for month. All of a sudden her development is exploding!

I'm SO proud!!!

Here's here video.

That's awesome!

Don't worry about bragging...I totally get it. Milestones are huge with preemies. The docs can say that they are fine and healthy and all that...but in the back of your mind you always wonder if they are really okay. When they start developing and catching up to where they "should" be it is so exciting you just want to shout it from the rooftops!

Aw. I can't get the video to load (it's my connection right now, it's been sucking lately). But congrats on her milestone. She sounds perfectly on track for her birth age. Even early! We have tons of babies in the May room who aren't crawling or sitting yet. So she is a small, mighty one!

Oh my goodness that video is adorable! I actually cried watching it. What happy smiles she has! I love how you're coaxing her over with gentle tickles to the cheek. Great job momma! Excellent work Isabel!
