Pinpointing conception???
Hi! Okay I know I posted a thread, regarding something similar but I couldnt find it so, am posting this one. Well, I got my BFP 9/28. The first day of my last period was Aug 24. My periods typically last 4 1/2 days. I had my ultrasound on oct 18th and they baby looks great! :) But they measured the baby at 6w 5d. I thought I concived around sept 6th-sept 7th, but that would actually put me at Sept 1st for conception! My periods are typically 32 days and ovulation occurs about 15days through my cycle. We did have unprotected sex, and used the "pull out method" (which isnt really a method of prevention lol) but we did the third or 4th day of my period. Sorry for :tmi: But I really didnt think I would be able to get pregnant around that time! Is it common for women to get pregnant 2-3 days after their period? Im trying to figure out when I ovulated... my ovulation date was sept 11, but I was already pregnant by then. Stories, opinions, advice welcomed! Thanks!:D

:chin: I'm trying to wrap my head around what you're saying but either I am WAY too tired (quite possible!) or your post doesn't make sense lol

Are you saying the ONLY time you had sex was on the 4th day of your period?

Re: Pinpointing conception???
It's possible to have ovulated early which is why the calendar method is not a reliable form of birth control. You can ovulate at different times each cycle. The cycle I got pg with ds2 I ovulated 5 days earlier then my normal early day. Other things like stress and illness can delay ovulation so when you think your past o you aren't. It's also why if using FAM to Void you need good software (not ff) and should chart cm (tells you if your likely fertile or not) and temps to confirm o has occurred.

With that said yes it's possible to conceive only days after the end of your period. It's also possible to get pg when on your period. Blood is considered fertile since it can mask true fertile CM.

It's also possible (though unlikely with early u/s's like yours) that the dating us is wrong. It's more likely with second trimester ultrasounds to be off then the early first trimester ultrasounds.
