Old wives' tales?
Do you believe in any old wives tales when it comes to pregnancy and labor?

Re: Old wives' tales?
No not really. Most of them have been debunked during my own pregnancies.

I try to ignore them, but this is my first. According to all the tales, I'm having a boy. We'll see in a few weeks...

Re: Old wives' tales?
The only ones that get me are when someone tries to tell me one like its true. Such as my mother believing when you are pregnant, you can't reach your arms above your head or your baby will get tangled in the cord. HUH?? Or my grandma saying you will have a dry birth if your water breaks too long before baby is delivered. Just silly. Oh, and you wouldn't believe how many women even today actually believe the heartburn=hair one. I dont even argue anymore on that one. Too many faithful believers.

Gender prediction ones are fun but then again, they have a 50/50 shot, lol
