Chit chat thread
I figured it would be nice to have a chart thread. Just to have conversations!

Re: Chit chat thread
My family is showing up this weekend so we're not doing anything xmasy until this weekend. We keep it small and simple though :)

Filling up my hours of boredom reading homebirth stories on the web. LOL

Re: Chit chat thread

Re: Chit chat thread
Oh my... I just woke up from a nap. What was I thinking? Oh that's right, it was nice and warm w/ my blanket next to the wood burning stove watching goosebumps w/ the kids

Re: Chit chat thread
We had a great day! But I got really frustrated at the end. I'm so touched out. Payson is teething and just a mess. She's crawling around now happy which is so nice.

Re: Chit chat thread
Hoping today is a good day. Have to give my kids disappointing news that family is not coming this weekend but we'll do something fun to "distract" them. I am filled with anticipation for my first appt on Monday.

Re: Chit chat thread
Ugh it drives me crazy when my family does that! Hopefully the distraction will help them!

Re: Chit chat thread
bummer your family canceled, thats so hard on young kids :( I hope you have a fun day anyways

I have a bunch of grocery shopping to do today, not looking forward to it

Re: Chit chat thread
Ugh I hate grocery shopping!

Earthy.Mama December 27th, 2013 05:46 PM

Re: Chit chat thread
I enjoy grocery shopping

Dh woke me up at 5:30.... we had an early day before he went to work. Had issues w/ the bank not depositing our money so we had to drive back home and get all that situated and then leave again.

Small nap this afternoon, always get headaches afterwards.

Getting light headed after standing up too fast.

Tired.... so dog tired.... Can't wait for bed tonight. Can't wait for Monday. DH doesn't feel like this pregnancy is real. I need that 1st appt so that it's real in his mind.

I think we agreed on a boys name.

Irish_Wristwatch December 27th, 2013 05:57 PM

Re: Chit chat thread
i dont mind grocery shopping most days, but with all the boxing week sales everywhere it was crazy out there! oddly enough costcos wasnt too bad, so it ended up being better than i thought it would be

what name have you picked (if you share before hand) so exciting youve found one already!!My hubby is the same way, its not real for him until after appointments start

Earthy.Mama December 27th, 2013 06:19 PM

Re: Chit chat thread
We've never gone shopping this early before so we were really surprised when we found a lot of meat on sale. I told DH we need to shop earlier so we get the good deals and he agrees

DH and I *never ever ever* agree on a boys name, but my intuition tells me this is a boy. So much that I waited in the parking lot 30 minutes before the store was even open to buy the test just so I could save a few bucks and not buy the expensive one, meditated and heard "boy" too!

Anyway, he said the name Lyren and I fell in love. We both like Oliver, so I'm thinking Lyren Oliver.

Irish_Wristwatch December 27th, 2013 06:26 PM

Re: Chit chat thread
Ive never heard the name Lyren before, i like it! Oliver is one of my fave boys names too, what a great combo! Are you planning to find out the gender before birth?

No, this is going to be a surprise!! I'm so freaking excited  We found out with the girls, but not this time.

I told DH that having something "new" each time gives me encouragements in labor. With dd1, well she was my first kid so it was all new and exciting. With dd2 it was my first homebirth. With this one I don't want to know the gender so I have more encouragement to push baby out to meet him/her

Irish_Wristwatch December 27th, 2013 06:50 PM

Re: Chit chat thread
i wish i was patient enough to be surprised! I love the idea of waiting until birth, but the actual waiting part is torture! maybe if we had a 4th id wait.... id seriously consider it atleast! Its a good way to think of it, as encouragement, it would sure make me want to meet that baby asap :)

do you have any girl names picked?

Earthy.Mama December 27th, 2013 07:06 PM

Re: Chit chat thread
Can't agree on a girls name.

Our girls have 2 middle names and they're both R.L. initials

Kailey Rose Lieselotte
Nola Rain Lila

So finding a girl name to flow and fit with the initials is a pain so I'm going easy on girl names haha!

Re: Chit chat thread
We had such a hard time with Payson's pregnancy agreeing on a boys name. We had an elective us to find out gender, I wasn't connecting her pregnancy was very unplanned. I needed to connect, they told us she was a boy. So we hashed out boys names forever! He wanted Cornelius. And he would not budge, I hated it! We finally agreed to Hudson. I was really upset at having a boy at first, so when we found out she was a girl I grieved the boy we were having. It was such a roller coaster ride.

Irish_Wristwatch December 28th, 2013 05:13 AM

Re: Chit chat thread
youve got a little theme! i love subtle similarities with names like that! Good luck with finding something that will fit.

thats crazy they told you the wrong gender, oh gosh that would upset me a lot!

Re: Chit chat thread
I was upset at the big U/S. I thought we would just confirm. But I almost fell off the table.
