How long did yours take to deliver?

How long would you wait?

Are you waiting to cut the cord til the placenta delivers?

Mine took 10 minutes? Maybe less. Maybe more. Time was really liek this whole other dimension at the time lol. But it wasnt long I know that.

I would wait however long it took as long as there were no problems. I did get a little "wowed" when I found out a friend of mine took 3 hours to deliver hers - she used my MW and my MW said she grew gray hairs the whole 3 hours lol.

I had planned to deliver the placenta before cuttin the cord, but it didnt work out that way. My little one came out nursing, and squirming. Squirming so much she was tugging on the cord & the placenta. It was a really "Wierd" feeling. So wierd that I was NOT up for it lol. We let the cord stop pulsing, which also didnt take long obviously, and I gave a few grunts & it was out.

It took just a few minutes for the placenta to deliver. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes? It was quite a bit less than with Cameron and his took 20 minutes.

I'd wait however long it took as long as the midwife didn't think there was a problem. It can take over an hour.

We didn't cut the cord until about an hour after Fritz was born. We just never got around to it. At that point it was getting in the way so I cut it.
