We are moving to NJ from Richmond, VA at the beginning of Nov. and I just found out yesterday that we are expecting #4. A little unplanned, but counting our blessings none the less! Well, needless to say, as if I don't have enough to think about with moving to a new state and all, I really want to see if anyone can introduce me to the homebirthing climate in New Jersey! I hope somebody out there will have some encouraging words or know of some midwife(s) that I could consider. We will be in Blackwood, NJ. Looking forward to talking with you guys!

I wish I could help, but I have no idea... I'm thinking you mentioned that you've had a previous homebirth? If so, what are the chances you could contact that midwife and ask for help? She might be able to point you in the right direction as far as finding a midwife in NJ...she may belong to online groups of midwives, etc. Sorry I'm not more help.

There are a few really great homebirth midwives in NJ though I'm not sure where Blackwood is. I'm using Louise Aucott and Pam Rosser (in Pennington)-they are Midwifery Care Associates (they have a website), there's also Linda McHale and Dina Aurricio. Best of luck!
