Language arts for kindergarten
What did you like? I'm looking for a mostly inclusive program that has reading, phonics, writing rolled into it along with lesson plans.

Re: Language arts for kindergarten
We're using Learning Language Arts Through Literature with my daughter. I bought the blue book for first grade but it seems like it would work great with kindergarten too. It has phonics, reading (both classic children's books and easy readers that come with the set), writing topics, and handwriting each week. It also is laid out what to teach each day in the teacher's manual so there is very little prep.

Re: Language arts for kindergarten
Im pregnant with my first child, but my sister has 3 kids and Ive been helping her homeschool them for the past few years. I know she gets all of her lessons from the publisher Zaner-Bloser https://www.zaner-bloser.com/. They have everything you need for language arts! A lot of their programs cover different facets of language arts, so none of them are strictly one subject. Maybe youd like to check out all of the programs on the website.

Re: Language arts for kindergarten
We are using Adventures in Phonics A for phonics, a bunch of old Horizons readers for reading practice/instruction, I have a bunch of other "free reading" readers as well. I have the CLP In the Beginning for penmanship, and we will be reading Brer Rabbit stories, Mother Goose, Alligator Pie, Winnie-the-Pooh, and House at Pooh Corner over the course of the year for literature. (A mainly Charlotte Mason, self-designed curriculum based off the recommendations at Ambleside Online.)

Re: Language arts for kindergarten
When my children were younger we had initially used computer games to get them familiar with the computer and then used technology to teach them phonics, spelling etc. Besides, we had also used Flashcard which initially started with letters and then moved on to two letter words, three letter words and then eventually sentences. These flashcards used actual photographs of the objects, things, people and places.
