hey guys anyone heard of this? it's a suit for women that would like to be alittle modest- i actualy want my mom and MIL in there, but might like some covering, have you used this, what did you wear?

That's interesting and not even too bad of cost. But, for about the same or less you could get a maternity tankini swimsuit that is useful for more than just the birth. Someone I know recently had a waterbirth and she wore her swimsuit and just took the bottom part off when things started getting on toward pushing her son out.

cool idea! I wish my hospital had water births!

You can get an exercise top they make them short (sports bras) and you can find then in a tank style. They work great. But my concern for myself is that if I felt the need to drape myself in fabric because of who would be there and not just because I am modest then I would have to rethink who would be allowed to my birth.

What kind of birth tub will you be using? Most tubs provide quite a bit of privacy, to the point that midwives need a flashlight to see what's going on with your bottom. Also, upright positions are very common in the pools, which makes for more privacy also. I am a very modest person (yes, EVEN IN LATE LABOR, Dr. Bradley), and I labored in a maternity tankini top. For most of my labor, I faced the wall of the birth center, with my back to everyone in the room. Only when I was complete did I turn around toward the people in the room (and even then, that was only DH, my best friend from high school, and my two midwives). So yeah, I understand wanting privacy, but I think it can be achieved w/o a special "suit."

yeah i have to agree, although let me say i've never ever given birth, but i've just always been so modest, and i am afraid even amid full labor that i want something on! i like the tank top, open bottom type of thing, and you are right, the water is private. i'm not even having that many people or anything, but for pictures immedietly following and things like that, yeah i just want something on!
