About your new pregnancy? Sorry, it's hard to explain, but I don't want to do or go anywhere that I was during my last pregnancy. My son has a piano recital tomorrow, and his last recital was a week before I mc the last baby. It feels like maybe history is repeating itself? Or that i'm setting myself up to lose this little bean. I also won't go to the outlet mall, or the dentist until after I hit the 8 week mark. Crazy, eh??

No, not crazy....just cautious.

I'm afraid to go to super public places (like the mall) because I'm afraid to catch someone else's disease (like a cold or the flu or something else). It seems reasonable to me to be afraid after a traumatic experience such as a m/c. Just make sure that you do get out and about after awhile. It's will be unhealthy for you mentally/emotionally if you decide to just hole up in the house and not get any kind of exposure to the rest of the world (like missing your son's recital - that's so sad - for him and you).

Also, quit worrying....stress and worry can be a big contributor of m/c.

Let's be careful about implicating stress as a potential contributor to m/c. This only stresses us out more; trying not to stress.

The majority of what I've read indicates stress IS NOT a contributor to m/c risk. There were 9 pregnant women who lost their husband's in the 9/11 attacks and all of them gave birth to healthy children after full term pregnancies.

I know of a woman who's 7 year old daughter was brutally beaten to death. She attended her daughter's autopsy, all the while being pregnant at about 4 months and despite it all carried the baby to term and delivered a healthy baby. THAT'S STRESS.

I think it is normal to feel worried, however avoiding places or people won't help or hurt your pregnancy. The only thing I am doing differently is not telling anyone until I show. Of course I was showing last time by the time I lost her. BUt I just don't want to tell anyone right now.

Strees won't harm you're baby, i go through everyday and it's bad. I would go to see you're son play, you'll be fine.
