What happened to "watch me grow wednesday"?

dee68 December 4th, 2008 02:06 PM

I am sorry ladies....

yesterday most of my day was spent getting Mick's grandmothers house ready for her live in nurse...
she gets released from the hospital today....

It kind of slipped my mind....

Pitridge December 4th, 2008 02:20 PM

How is she doing?

dee68 December 4th, 2008 02:29 PM

well, better I think.....not 100 %

I am seriously wondering if she had a mini stroke.....and not a heartattack...

she has some serious muscle weakness...and once in awhile slurred speech

It's so hard when they get to that age....
At least it seems like she's eating which is good. I hope everything goes well with her.

thank you !

its the first Christmas without grandpa too, and I am sure it is getting to her....
we'll try to keep her spirits up the best we can

My grandma's first x-mas without grandpa was hard but I think that having the family around, and keeping her busy, going over to her house for visit or lunches, I think all of it together it's what make her have a good x-mas. Also the same x-mas, well a couple of days before x-mas my uncle died from cancer, so it was a bit harder on my grandma eitherway because he lived with her for a while and she spent so much time at the Hospital with him. My aunt and cousins decided not to be with us for x-mas,so my grandma was a bit hurt by that.
Anyway, the point of this long story was to say that, I'm pretty sure keeping her busy and having family around will do good for her.
