Pregnancy flashbacks
I keep on having flashbacks to my pregnancy with M. Could I have really felt this crappy, tired and still be able to teach 200 students every day? Don't get me wrong, I feel SOOOOO happy that I am sick. Sick gives me hope. I just feel like laying in my bed all day, and for the most part, the days I wasn't working with M, I was in bed all day. I hope to get my prescription for zofran soon because I already have lost 3lbs in 4 days because I can't eat. I lost 12 lbs before gaining anything with M. I am blessed. I am super happy and super miserable at the same time.

I have my first blood draw on Wednesday and my appointment will be between 6-7 weeks.

Re: Pregnancy flashbacks
Wow you poor thing. 3 lbs in 4 days is NOT good. Have you called your OB/doc and let them know now that you are having a problem? I would think that too much losing would put your body in ketosis and that could be bad for you. I would see if you can get an Rx, stat!

Re: Pregnancy flashbacks
My midwife won't do anything until I miss my period, unfortunately. No bloodwork, no appointments, nothing. I am sure that I will be fine, but just thinking that my first appointment isn't until 6-7 weeks makes me want to cry. If it gets too bad, I will definitely call.

Re: Pregnancy flashbacks
What about an urgent care clinic or something of the sort? Or even your PCP? Surely someone could help you!! I would hope anyway!

Re: Pregnancy flashbacks
it's definitely harder being pregnant and taking care of other kids than it was when you had no kids and were pregnant. I have been terribly sick also and it's been hard to take care of both my boys. Thankfully on my really bad days, DH has stepped up and helped alot.

And your right being sick is a great thing. Mine seems to be easing up a little bit so I see the light at the end of the tunnel. All this misery will be so worth it when we are holding our little babies.

I can't wait to see how great your numbers are on Wednesday!!
