I sometimes feel like not having a normal pregnancy is more stressful than when I was having trouble getting pregnant. My spotting hasn't let up and has been changing from pink to red. The doctor said as long as I'm not having painful cramping and it's only spotting and not full flow to just wait it out until my u/s on the 30th but I feel like I'm going to go crazy before then. :( I'm starting to have a tiny bit of blood in my panties now and then instead of just when I wipe and when I wipe there's more than last week so I'm really having a hard time feeling hopeful about this pregnancy.

:dothug: I am sorry you are still spotting. I really hope all is well with you and baby.

Re: Ugh
I'm so sorry you're dealing with this spotting. After a loss, I'm surprised that your doc is not doing more to reassure you. Emotionally that's a lot to deal with. I guess I can see their point that it's so early, they might not be able to see much on u/s and it might not help you feel better. The sad truth is, in PAL almost nothing helps you feel 100%. Even now, I'm 36 weeks along and start to fear the worst just about every time baby stops moving.

Sending big hugs. Hang in there.

I had an ultrasound at 4 and 5 weeks and one pair of betas to rule out ectopic pregnancy but when I called last week when the spotting got a little heavier triage said to wait it out unless it was active bleeding. It doesn't help that my husband is out of town this week either. I'm just a mess today. My supervisor stopped by my site today to go over something with me and when she asked how I was, just conversationally, I just started crying.

I called the doctor again and they agreed to see me tomorrow. Hopefully I will know one way or the other what's going on.

Measuring right on at 6 weeks 5 days with a heartbeat! Spotting is from the placenta growing because it's close to my cervix. She said the bleeding should stop in a couple weeks as my uterus expands. I feel so much better now!

I feel like now I can stop freaking out and just enjoy being pregnant. I saw the nurse practitioner today and she was very reassuring and said it was understandable for me to be worried with my losses but that everything looked right on track. She even pointed out on the ultrasound where the bleeding was coming from so I could see what was causing it.
