Baby monitors
What kind of baby monitor do you have? Would you recommend it to others?

I still have't bought a monitor for Christian since he is in our room but now that it is getting pretty outside I like to take the other two boys outside to play so I need a monitor for Christian so I can hear him if we are outside.

the monitor I used for Jackson I love but they no longer make it and the one I have for Jacob is a piece of crap. it was a $90.00 piece of crap so now I am really trying to do my research before I buy a new one and just want some others opinions on which ones are good.

Re: Baby monitors
I had an angel care sound and movement monitor for DS1. I loved it. They now have a sound, Video and Movement monitor that I want but it's too expensive. We are replacing the missing part on our old monitor and we'll use that.

Re: Baby monitors
I just have a cheapie one that works for me. It's a Safety 1st brand. I've also had one in the past that was a Fisher Price one (about 4 years ago with DS1), and both have served me well. They're just the sound-only kind. You can use the receiver on batteries or wall power, so if you want to take it outside, it can go. The distance they both could reach seemed acceptable, too. It let me take my older one outside a little distance away while still hearing the little one.

Re: Baby monitors
I will need one once we *try* moving Toren to his own bedroom. I'm not sure what kind to get either.

Re: Baby monitors
Joy thanks. We don't want to spend the money on a video monitor so we are looking for something inexpensive. I will look at those safety first ones. Jackson's was a fisher price and it was great but they don't make it anymore. I thought about checking out their newer version.
