a blighted ovum is when the fertilized egg implants itself inside of your uterus but the embryo either never delevoped or stopped developing which results in a m/c.

I am sorry that happened. I did not know what it was either.

My mc was also a blighted ovum. It is very common. my dr. was positive, though, he said it means we can conceive.

I too had a blighted ovum....It usually won't occur more than once.

I had a blighted ovum m/c. The doctor told me it's where nothing ever formed in the sac (no fetus). :( I had the m/c in the 6th week of the pregnancy.

I think mine was blighted. My doctor thought he had a heart rate at week 5, we were in a little earlier. It was our first so we were excited. He asked us to come back at week 8 and couldn't find anything inside the sac. The sac appeared to have stopped developing at week 6. Since then I had another m/c naturally, didn't have all the symptoms as I did in the first one. I knew something wasn't right.
