So what do you do when you just don't like how a friend or family member plays with your baby? Just grin and bear it? I'm not talking about anything unsafe, just kind of obnoxious stuff that I wouldn't do and looks like the baby doesn't particularly like.

Oh..this is a good question! I have to deal with this alot. My SIL is a very loud person and she plays a little rough with Miles. I know she loves Miles very much... but I think she would be a little scary to a small baby. At this point I grin and bear it. I will say something if the need arises but in a way, I think it's good for Miles to experience all kinds of people and play styles.

It's so hard when that happens! I'll grin and bear it so long as baby is safe and happy. If baby seems overwhelmed or in danger, then I'll say something. If you don't want to be super direct, then say something about how the baby's looking tired, hungry, ready for a diaper change, or even ready for a break. And then take her before they can argue with you.
