hi everyone, looks like I'm joining you as I'm in the middle of my 2nd m/c. Is anyone else frustrated with their doctors?
I'm in the middle of changing doctors again, as I've been getting the run around. My first doctor from my previous m/c pretty much blew me off when I had questions the last time I was in. So then when I found out that I was pregnant again, I found a new doctor to go to but wouldn't see him till July 6th. Well yesterday when I found I was bleeding, I called this doctor and they instructed me to go to the ER (spent 5 hours waiting for them to do a pelvic exam, take blood and say I was m/c). I called this dr. back this morning as I was instructed to do.. only to be given the run around on whether or not they wanted to do a follow-up with me. ARgh! They finally decided they didn't want to see me till my July 6th appt. Sooo now I went back to shopping for a new doctor, one of my co-worker's recommended one that I called. They are squeazing me in this Monday at 11:15am. Hopefully this one will be better!

Thank you for letting me vent!

Yikes! What a frustrating situation! The doc I used with DS moved out of state about a year later, so I had to find a new doc when we started trying for another one this year. I emailed ALL of my women friends and even some of DH's who barely know me asking for recommendations or docs to avoid. That was a lifesaver. Then I even googled the ones I narrowed it down to and picked the one with no negative posts anywhere. I wound up with an angel of a doc. His whole office has been incredibly supportive through both m/c's. The first one happened naturally before my first appt with the doc and they got me right in for blood tests and the doc himself called me back that day. Hope the third try's the charm for you and that you have a much better experience with the new doc/office. I'll be thinking about you. Keep us posted.

I've had 4 miscarriages, and each was with a different doctor. Part of that was because we moved, but part was because I can't find a doctor that I feel really gives a darn. I really like my newest doctor--his staff is very pleasant, and when I called as a new patient in the middle of a huge panic attack about this latest pregnancy, they said "I think you need to come in today. Can you come at 2:30?" When I had called my other doctor 5 minutes before the first words out of their mouth was "The next available appointment we have is July (this was still May)." I've had it with doctors in general. Where we used to live, you had a doctor and went to see them when you had problems. In our new area, I've heard "We can't see you just go to the ER."--this is on weekdays, when most doctors actually see patients, not 11 pm on a Saturday night. I thought that's why I had a regular doctor in first place so I didn't have to go to the ER.

Welcome--although I can't say I'm glad you're joining us. But, the company is great around here, even though our reason for getting together is not the best.

I totally get you - I am back now with my previous Dr - but that is because she wasn't good at getting answers...or at least sounding certain. Now I have my answers - and she is at least sweet & sympathetic...and I think that is all I need for now.

I hate htat it is so hard to find a good Dr. You would think that this kind of occupation would attract people that want to be loving & kind. It makes NO sense to me.

Thanks for your input guys! It really sux dealing with doctors. Hopefully this new one will be the charm! The person referring me to him is one who is very outspoken, opinionated and won't put up with any bs, so hopefully this guy is a good one. Maybe I will have to google him too. Until now, I had kinda gone with finding a doctor through my insurance's website, one that was near where I lived. I think for now on I better ask around then go check that my insurance deals with them. Anyways thanks again.. its sounds like I'm in great company despite our reasons for being hear!
