for family, do you try to spend the same amount on everyone or do you buy the gifts based on whatever it is you think they would like regardless of the price (within your price range of course)?

Basically the same amount for everyone, but I'll always go over if I see something I know my mom would love. My mom does so much for us, and this is the only time of year I can get her gifts.

We try to stay kinda close to the same amount on everyone, but sometimes that doesn't happen, but I don't worry too much about it if it doesn't happen.

We try but it never works out that way!

We set up a limit when buying for our parents and we set a little higher limit for ourselves. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

My parents did this when we were growing up and they seemed to be pretty good at hitting the mark.
