Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums so first of all would just likento say hello and good luck to those TTC. I have had 2 early miscarriages since October. One at 5 weeks and one at 6.3 weeks. My question is- when expecting next period, do you count 4 to 6 weeks from the day you started to bleed or 4 to 6 weeks from when you stopped? Sorry I'm not familiar with the site lingo. If anyone could answer this question for me, that would be great. Thanks!

Re: Question
First off, I am so sorry for your losses. Also, welcome to the board. It is usually 4-6 weeks from the start of bleeding when the losses are early.

Re: Question
I agree with grog eek, it's usually 4-6 weeks from the start (just as CD1 is the first day of your AF). However cycles can be wonky after m/c and my be different. So don't get too worried if it's not exactly on time.

I am very sorry for you losses. Welcome to the board.

Re: Question
I am sorry for your losses. I agree with the other ladies. I counted cd 1 as the first day of my m/c, and am just going to use opk's (a lot of them) this cycle and see when I ovulate again. But you should expect af 4-6 wks after the first day you start bleeding.

Re: Question
Thanks so much for your replies. This site is such a great support system. I have a 12 year old boy, I had him very young (18 years old) unplanned. Now I'm 31 and I never imagined I would go through this or had any idea how frustrating and heartbreaking it would be. It's not always easy to talk to anyone that's never been through it so I think it's wonderful we all have each other's support here. Wishing good luck to you all.
