Recently Diagnosed
Hello all! I have been recently diagnosed with endometriosis after a d&c hysterscopy for heavy painful periods and a laparoscopy for cysts. They removed a large cyst on my right ovary and removed as much endo as possible. My doctor is anxious for me to conceive. I should start my first cycle post-op in a week or so! I am however very nervous as this is my first time TTC. When I came out of surgeryand they told me I had endo I cried.

Just looking for a place for support!

Re: Recently Diagnosed
*hugs* Best wishes to you. My gyno said that she believes I have endo, but my insurance was cut off, so that's as far as it went. I was talking with some of my family, and, apparently, my aunt was diagnosed around my age(25). She had two healthy, beautiful children not too long after. I couldn't imagine what you're going through, and I know my post may not help much. I just wanted to try to help you to feel a little more reassured. :patback:

Re: Recently Diagnosed
I was diagnosed with endo after my first child was born. After having surgery to remove a cyst and clear out as much endo as possible I conceived my second son shortly after. I hope the same for you :)

Re: Recently Diagnosed
I was devestated when I was diagnosed at 21 with endometriosis too. I've always wanted children very badly, so I was very worried about infertility, even though my doctors didn't anticipate that I would have any difficulty TTC. They never directly recommended that I TTC sooner than later. However, I knew that the odds were more in my favor if I did. I finished graduate school and got settled into my career. I'm 27 and I just started TTC a couple months ago. If I didn't have endo, I would have waited another year before TTC just to be more settled with my husband's career/moves/etc. Long story short, I can relate and you have my support :) I know many women conceive very shortly after a laparoscopy!
