How many follies?
How many follies is "OK" to have at the time of trigger for an IUI ?? I'm already thinking of all sorts of questions I have when I go meet the RE on the 30th in prep for our IUI.... so how many is too many they'd have to cancel ?? And I'd still want to hope for size like 18 or more before trigger too, right ?? Thanks much!

Re: How many follies?
I know 2-3 mature sized was usually the "max" my RE would let us trigger with... we never had more than that anyways.

Re: How many follies?
With my RE he allowed 2-3 max mature 15+ mm. Our IUI cycle we did we ended up with 4 mature at the time of trigger, but he gave us the option. We went ahead with it and it ended in a BFN for us anyways. Also, I am not sure if you are interested or not, but some REs will also allow and IUI to IVF conversion if your body reacts too well to the medication and you end up with lots of follicles. Just something to baby check on?? That way you wouldnt have to cancel the cycle.

Re: How many follies?
During our first Inject/IUI cycle we were only allowed to have 3 max... but as the cycles went on, failure after failure that was upped to a max of 5-6... with the knowledge that they would ask for us to reduce (only if we wanted to go ahead with it) if we had high-order multiples.

I'd say, for your first cycle, you'd be shooting for a max of 3... at least 16ish-mm each.
