Hello, New here, but not to ttc.
Hello. My name is Kirstin. I am 24 years old. I have been married for 6 years and my husband is 27. We have been working at building our family for 5 years last April. We found out that my husband has non-obstructive azoospermia, but he is completely healthy and they can't find a single thing wrong with him. We did 2 IUIs last May and June. The second one ended in a chemical. We took a break because on top of the chemical, the second IUI went a little rough. It was definitely more painful and went a way we didn't expect.

We are going to meet our 5th doctor tomorrow. Our two favorites retired. This will be a first female doctor and we are hoping to start doing IUIs again. I also want to ask her about my husband's fevers. Him and his female cousin both get these fevers at night if they get too cold. It causes them to have severe shivers and they can't seem to get warm enough. It then makes both of them sick for the rest of the day. All of our other doctors didn't even give it a second thought, but I am hoping this doctor will listen since we just found out about his cousin having the same problem and she has been trying year longer than us. Both of them don't have a thing wrong with them other than the fevers and that they can't have kids.

Anyways, I think I should stop before I write a giant novel. So my question is what are the best things I can do to prepare for my IUIs that will up my chances?

My first IUI was completely natural. My second IUI we just did the hCg trigger shot.

Thank you!

Re: Hello, New here, but not to ttc.
welcome! I'm not sure about upping your chances with IUI's, other than making sure they are timed correctly and that you are abstaining for the period of time as requested by your RE. We post a lot more on the main TTCMA board, please feel free to join us there. I'm currently in the 2ww after DSIUI#3 and will be going crazy there.
