SO totally confused pcos now not pcos?
Okay- recap

(1) my cycles are usually about 2 months long
(2) I have been temping since January
(3) My obgyn gave my blood test pw so that I could check for menopausal or PCOS issues. Said it could be done anytime
(4) had testing done... realized after the fact it was my surge day Estradiol of 494 and LH 25.9
(5) PA diagnosed me PCOS, said I wasn't Ovualting
(6) did a progesterone day test 7 dpo - showed 11.7 (i am not on meds)
(7) realized Estradiol levels and LH levels could be up because it was my surge day. Demanded PA give script for 2nd test
(8) took blood test for Estradiol, FSH and LH on CD3
(9) Estradiol was 42, FSH 5.6, LH 7.7
(10) so this looks like NOT pcos??

I am really not happy because the PA has not listened to me at all about my weird cycle.

If its NOT PCOS, then why the long cycles?

Re: SO totally confused pcos now not pcos?
PCOS is a finicky thing because it looks different in every woman. It is often diagnosed through a process of elimination. Basically they will look at your symptoms and try to rule out any other causes of them, and if they can do that you probably have PCOS. Not everyone with PCOS will have high estradiol, LH, or even testosterone. Not everyone will have problems with weight. Not everyone will be anovulatory. Etc. So because of your long cycles and any other PCOS symptoms you have, you could still have PCOS even though your CD3 workup came back okay.

Is it possible for you to find a different doctor? It sounds like you aren't super happy with this one. In my experience finding a doctor you can trust and feel comfortable with is key.

I am seeing a reproductive endocrinologist in about a week. My OB was terrible got diagnosis but no real tests done or answers. Sometimes seeing a specialist is the best thing because they will know what to look for and how to monitor you. Good luck
