I didn't know where to post this, so I posted it here...Is it safe to sleep on your tummy while your pregnant? I heard it's bad too, but my stomach hurts anyways if I try to sleep on my stomach now. but is it safe? or can it cause some sort of problem??

To my knowledge there are different opinions on that. If its uncomfortable, don't do it. I havent tried for awhile myself.

As long as you can stand to lay on your belly its fine. A lot of people have discomfort and then become too big to lay on their belly. I still lay on mine from time to time :D

I started laying on my back and side right away, so i could get used to it. It won't be long before you won't be able to sleep on your stomach!

It's safe and perfectly fine as long as you can stand it. I have.. oh.. about a month and a half left (a little less) and occasionally I still wake up on my tummy.. mind you I always have a pillow supporting it, and I'm usually waking up to Libby's kicks of rage "How DARE you lie on your stomach and be comfortable, mom.. how dare you??"

-sigh- it's the first thing I intend to do after having her. = )

You can lay and sleep in any position that is comfortable to you! When it starts hurting or is hard to breathe your body will let you know and you will no longer physically be able to sleep that way! That is what my doc has informed me!! I'm still sleeping on my stomach!

As far as I know, it's ok as long as you're comfortable. However, after week 16, you should avoid lying on your back as the baby's weight will press on your vena cava and cut off blood-flow to the baby.
