Fastest Growing Users Online: Kids

It's not teens, tweens or adults, but young kids who are accounting for the fastest growing user base on the Internet.

According to the AP, Nielsen online reports that a whopping 16 million children in the United States were on the Internet in May, which equals 9.5% of total users.

Nielsen also reports that boys are spending more time online more than girls -- about 7% more. The most staggering statistic -- over the last 5 years, Internet usage for kids has climbed 18 percent.

All the more reason for parents to make sure they have some parental controls on those computers to protect their little ones from stumbling upon inappropriate content!
