HealthDay has released an important bulletin about protecting your kids from the swine flu while at summer camp. It includes the following tips:
1. Make sure the camp your child attends is doing regular screenings for the swine flu and also updating parents on any potential cases.
2. Ask Questions: Check to see if there have been any cases of the H1N1 virus at that particular camp.
3. When visiting your child at camp, it might be a good idea to leave any of your other children at home, as the virus is highly contagious amongst children.
4. Make sure the camp your child attends is proactive about cleanliness -- and bring your own antiseptic/ sanitizing wipes when you visit.
