What is the Biggest Household Danger for Children?

By JustMommies

LiveScience is reporting on a new study in the August issue of the journal Pediatrics -- which reveals that shower and tub injuries among children are alarmingly high.

According to the study, 120 kids a day under 4 years of age in the United States visit the emergency room as a result of slips in the tub.

Of these accidents, 60 percent of them are lacerations and more than 20 percent were strains or related injuries. The most common area affected is the head or neck.

Slip resistant mats and types of railings that children can hold onto may reduce the chance of injury.
